Born out of a love for both music and jewelry, John McVeigh Designs creates one-of-a-kind pieces which marry rough natural surfaces with fine faceted gemstones; a mirror of his personal life. For years, John McVeigh has split his time between the fast-paced life of performing on the world stages as a professional opera singer and his time at his jewelry bench, be it in the diamond district of NYC or his studio in Stonington, ME. The two careers inform each other; the quiet of the bench reaches into the energetic rehearsal spaces of the Metropolitan Opera and vice-versa. “I am fortunate to be able to bring the joy of singing into the gallery space and bring my love of gemstones and jewelry into the operatic world: a beautiful symbiotic relationship.”
