J. McVeigh Jewelry was founded in 2017 by John McVeigh, a jewelry artist and professional opera singer. Situated on the waterfront in picturesque Stonington, Maine on Deer Isle, the gallery showcases 30 of today’s leading jewelry and metals artists from around the world. Each year we introduce new artists and we always have new work, so even if you’ve visited the gallery in the past, you’ll discover something new every time you walk through our doors or visit us online.

Our artists work in a variety of styles and materials and each one is an expert in their craft. Many of their pieces are one-of-a-kind works of art that feature unique gemstones and minerals, some cut by our jewelers themselves. We also represent the work of metal artists who fabricate beautiful objects for home and table.

Our Maine gallery season runs May through December and we look forward to your in-person visit with us. During the gallery season we present weekly trunk shows, each featuring the work of one of our spectacular artists: We often host the artists themselves and they delight in talking about their creations and working with you to find a special piece for your personal jewelry collection. At least one of these shows each summer extends into an evening of cabaret, allowing John’s passions for music and jewelry to play out together in the intimate setting of the gallery.

If a visit to Stonington isn’t possible we are open year round at our online gallery where you can expect the same personalized service that we provide in store.
