When I acquired this exquisitely carved “Eclipse” agate by the German stone carver Dieter Lorenz 15 years ago, I never dreamed I would have my own gallery in Maine.
As we celebrate our 8th year in the gallery this year, we are also celebrating this beautiful, clear day to witness the eclipse at 96%!

It’s Christmas night and there is so much to be grateful for. Retail can sometimes be challenging, and as such, we just now finished decorating our tree.

Being of German descent, for me, ornaments tell story of places traveled, lives lived and people we have met and experiences along the way. I can tell you where every ornament on our tree came from, from the Klimt bulb, hand painted At the Christmas market in Vienna in 1991, to the beautifully hand-crafted ornament by one of our artists, timo Krapf, @tbkjewelry. Each ornament tells a story, and the beauty of the season for me is taking a moment to acknowledge the history, love, loss and living in this tree.
